If you love plants and pristine nature, this is a MUST-SEE destination. Garden in the Woods is an eye-popping showcase of native plants, described by The Boston Globe as “one of the most beautiful places on the planet”, located 20 miles west of Boston. As the botanical garden and native plant sales nursery of New England Wild Flower Society, America’s oldest plant conservation group, the Garden has 1,500 native plant species on display in a spectacular 45-acre living museum, accredited by the American Association of Museums. Enjoy the largest native plant education program in the nation and select from 250+ classes, events, and festivals throughout the year. Guided walks, included with admission, are offered daily at 10 a.m. except Sundays at 2 p.m, with no reservations required. Group tours and cart tours for those needing mobility assistance are by reservation at bdrexler@newfs.org.
