Located in the heart of the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, the New Bedford Whaling Museum houses the world's most comprehensive collection of whaling and maritime artifacts. Highlights include the 89-foot half-scale model of the whaling bark Lagoda, a 66-foot rare blue whale skeleton, interactive exhibits about whales, and exhibits devoted to worldwide whaling. Also on view are whaling implements, scrimshaw, decorative art, paintings, photographs and logbooks.
