The Mary Baker Eddy Library explores the life and achievements of Mary Baker Eddy, a New England woman who defied conventional nineteenth-century thinking to become an influential religious leader, publisher, teacher, and businesswoman. The Library also houses the famous Mapparium®, an achievement in art and architecture. This three-story stained-glass globe, opened in 1935, allows visitors to stand in the center of the earth with the countries laid out around them. The sound and light show gives a unique perspective on how ideas have the power to inspire individuals and change the world.
